I was playing with the CROSS CUT SECTION at the old LA BAMBA in my home town of Falkirk when I was approached by big Davy to play with the HEANAN FROUDE SET. This started a long musical parnership culminating in the formation of THRUSH.

In their heyday THRUSH played to packed audiences throughout Scotland and made several broadcasts on national radio and television.One of their regular and most popular gigs was at the MAGGIE in Sauchiehall Street Glasgow where people were known to queue for hours to get in.

Notoriously THRUSH were the last band to play the Glasgow APOLLO which sadly closed it's doors forever shortly after.
